Newport Sea Base Rowing (NSBR)

Newport Sea Base Rowing (NSBR) is a program that is administered by the Sea Base division of the Orange County Boy Scouts of America (OCBSA). We are dedicated to the belief that the sport of rowing provides unique opportunities to promote personal and community growth through teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.

We have openings on our Novice team for any athlete in his or her first year of High School (grades 9 to 12) rowing, including those with no prior rowing experience. We also have programs available for Middle School (ages 6 to 8), which introduces students to the sport of rowing which having fun on and off the water, in a safe environment and learn the technical skills and proper boat handling while developing fitness.

Our Staff

Our coaches have all rowed and coached at high school and college levels. We have a great track record of success nationally and many of our athletes have gone on to row at colleges across America. Several of our coaches have also rowed at coached for the US National team.
