Next Gen Mu Sool

Next Gen Mu Sool translates to Next Generation Martial Arts. We chose this name because not only are we the next generation in a long line of great martial artists, but our main focus is training our students. Every student who walks through that door and puts on the uniform is our next generation. Our goal is to teach not just the physical self defense, but also the traditions and knowledge that has been passed down to us from our predecessors. Next Gen Mu Sool applies the traditional etiquette and mental training while also incorporating updated drills and current teaching techniques.

RICKY KWAHN JAHNG NIM Owner, Master Instructor 

Ricky KJN started training at Kuk Sool Won of South Austin under KJN Dwain Perry. After a lot of hard work and dedication he was promoted to first degree black belt in Kuk Sool Won. Even before receiving his first-degree black belt, Ricky KJN was approved to start assistant teaching as a Dahn Bo Nim (student testing for black belt). Ricky KJN became a full-time instructor in 2007 and has been teaching martial arts as his full-time job ever since. ​ After leaving KSW Ricky KJN opened a school under Mu Sool Won and started training directly under Grandmaster Byung In Lee.
