Play More Chess Academy

These classes meet once per week and are one hour in length. They integrate topical lessons, short video tutorials, puzzles, examples from grandmaster games and other activities in a proven learning curriculum aligned with US Chess Federation recommendations.

Personalized instruction and an achievement chart make it easy for students to sign up for a class at any time during the year. Progress is tracked as proficiency is achieved on 30 topics within each level. Each student charts his or her progress on a range of topics covered in each level and can move at his or her own pace within the level.
