Pure Fastpitch

Pure Fastpitch/Explosion's Mission - is to develop student-athletes into champions on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.  We demand teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for the game by our players, coaches, and organization as a whole.

Pitching: Our pitching lessons focus on fundamentals, repetitive throwing motion, and muscle memory.  Our program consistently produces pitchers that throw strikes and maintain composure on the mound.  Our process enables the pitcher to remain calm and under control.  This allows the pitcher to make good pitch selections, weighing the pitcher's strengths versus the batter's weaknesses.

Batting: Our batting lessons focus on the fundamentals of batting including posture, balance, transfer, stride, point of contact, and pitch recognition.  We instruct our athletes to be successful physically and mentally in the batter's box.  Mental aggressiveness is taught by communicating to the athlete techniques for relaxation, preparation, and control.  Pure Fastpitch has a rich history of producing batting averages > .400 in our High School and College players.

Catching: Our catching lessons focus on the following skills and fundamentals:   framing, blocking, throw downs, quick pop times, pitch calling, and proper throwing technique.  We teach our catchers the mental aspects of the game, including game management, decoding situational plays, and how to effectively showcase the pitcher.
