Ramon Moreno School of Ballet (RMSB) was founded in 2016 and is located in Palo Alto, California, serving students in the Peninsula and the south Bay Area including but not limited to Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Sunnyvale, Saratoga, Santa Clara, and more.
RMSB specializes in the Cuban training style based on the Russian Vaganova method, which is renowned for its athleticism, passion, and grace. The Cuban method has its origins in the Russian Vaganova style with influences from major schools of ballet - French, Italian, and Russian. It emphasizes dancing with the entire body and promotes harmonious movement between arms, legs, and torso. The Cuban method combines high Russian extensions and jumps with intricate Italian footwork, French arm artistry, and British attention to detail.
Of special importance is the emphasis in the work of the pas de deux, where the couple dances in tight synergy. Cuban-trained dancers and students of the Cuban method are highly sought after throughout the world and achieve marquee status with prominent ballet companies internationally.
RMSB provides world-class ballet instruction in the tradition of the Cuban method. Our faculty members are highly qualified instructors and world-renowned artists in their craft.
