Overview
A Minecraft city comes to life!
Build and govern a working metropolis while exploring Math, Writing, Geometry, the Environment and much more.
Students will:
- Budget and build their own house
- Create a business plan while building and marketing their own business
- Debate city laws in our virtual city council room and vote as a city councilor
- Write a detailed constitution focused on the environment, transportation, and what is allowed and not allowed
STEM learning has never been so fun!
Class Components:
- Week 1: Welcome to Our City! Home budgeting and construction, Debating on the City Council
- Week 2: Planning Your Business, The Geography of City Names
- Week 3: Flags Around the World, Mathematics in Our City
- Week 4: Democracy in Action, City Planning 101
- Week 5: A Constitution to Call Our Own, The Environment and Our City
- Week 6: A Group Project, Perfecting Our City, Our City Lives On...
Our goal is for students to gain an understanding of how a city works while experiencing the joy of constructing and walking around in their own creation!

I highly recommend this class. Matt does an excellent job directing the class. My daughter really enjoyed her experience. The weekly challenges were exciting and she was 100% motivated to complete them. She enjoyed collaborating with other students in class and making friends.

My son couldn't have loved this class more. The pacing, concepts, organization, structure and faculty were excellent. He wanted it to go forever and was so motivated each week. I couldn't give it a higher recommendation, this is the gold standard for these types of courses.

Do you have anything like this using minecraft for the 7 - 8 year old population? My son would love it, but he hasn't learned multiplication and division yet. He's just finishing 2nd grade.
