Build an autonomous robot car with Raspberry Pi!
Autonomous cars, airplanes, factory machines, and many electronic devices are controlled by computers with sensors and software.
Your child will enjoy the hands-on experiences of building and modifying a robotic car with Raspberry Pi as the brain. Raspberry Pi is an industry-standard one board computer that is widely used for the platforms of Internet of Things prototyping because it has the GPIO (General-purpose input/output) that allows Pi to control many devices (including motors, servos, LEDs) and receive data from sensors. After setting up the autonomous robot car, your child will set up Linux based Raspberry Pi OS and the programming environment. They will develop control applications with both Python and a visual coding tool similar to Scratch.

Your child will have a very good general understanding of how control systems work through hands-on experience. They will know how to work with Raspberry Pi software. They will also understand how to build programs that control actuators based on data from sensors.
Your child will also have a strong understanding of computer hardware itself such as CPU, memory, storage, bus, I/O control A/D and D/A convertor and binary system.
