Rolling Hills Country Day School
Welcome to Country Day’s Summer Programs! We offer a variety of great options to keep your child engaged and entertained over the summer. Many of our new families get overwhelmed with all of the choices available.
Our goal for every Country Day School student is that each become thoughtful, compassionate, and actively engaged in their community and the world around them. To support their growth, our co-curricular programs are integral to the overall RHCDS experience. Rolling Hills Country Day School welcomes you to Country Day Camp, our fun filled summer program for ages 4 1/2 – 13.
In addition to camp the school also offers a variety of academic courses including Summer School, Study Skills, and Experium Science Camps. Art Camp is a chance for children of all ages to express themselves through their own creative abilities. Our trained art instructors will guide and inspire campers through exciting projects in ceramic tile painting, clay modeling, acrylic and watercolor painting, pencil drawing and other mixed media.

Our Staff
Karen Shipherd / Executive Director
She began as Executive Director at Country Day in 2004. She is a native of Gardena and graduated from Harvard with her Bachelors degree and received her MBA from UCLA. Her favorite part of working at RHCDS is watching the students at recess. When she is not at RHCDS she enjoys running and spending time with her two sons, Michael and Cory.
