US Chessmates - Beginning Chess

Interested in learning to play chess? Participants will be instructed in the movement and value of each chess piece along with the fundamental concepts of check, checkmate, and stalemate. By the end of the session, children will have a firm grasp on the core principles of chess; controlling the center, developing pieces, and protecting the king.
