The 2025 Science Olympiad Summer Camp from Saratoga High School will introduce SHS SciOly club structure and provide experience and tips to interested middle schoolers & elementary schoolers (4th & 5th graders)! Our classes focus on teaching foundational STEM knowledge to prepare students for the Division B (middle school) events, providing them with study materials and, moreover, and expose a variety of science concepts in different fields allowing young students to explore STEM.
Our summer camp has been ongoing every summer for 5+ years of experience & reached over 100+ student participation in the last, 2024-2025 year. We hope your student joins us for the 2025-2026 summer!
Over course options such as: Technology & Engineering; Life, Personal, & Social Science; Inquiry & Nature of Science; Earth, Space Science, & Physical Science, Chemistry- students will attend weekly in-person / hybrid classes, each class is 1.5 hours long, once per week for 4 weeks. These classes will entail interactive lessons, fresh resources, oppurtinities to explore current research, while connecting SciOly events to real world problems alongside mini competitions (depending on the course)! In addition, we are enthusiastic to teach elementary school students the fundamental science topics to prepare them for their upcoming science courses.
For context, Science Olympiad (SciOly) is offered as a club at Saratoga High School & Redwood Middle School and it is a national competition where students compete in 23 events in various fields of science, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. There are over 7,800 middle school and high school teams from 50 U.S. states competing each year.
