Overview

At Land, Sea, Air, & Space Camp, for teens ages 13-17 entering grades 8-12, the focus will be on volcanoes (geology), the ocean (marine science), air (climate), and space (rocketry, astronomy) and the flora and fauna of Hawai'i Island (botany, zoology). You will visit Kīlauea, the world's most active (and easily studied) volcano. You will visit beaches with black and green sand. You will learn not just about the events that take place in the natural world but experience first-hand how they affect plants, animals, and people.

I loved camp so much! Everyone was so kind and inviting, we had amazing activities every day, and the food was delicious. We got to see the volcano erupt in-person, which was a sight to behold. I learned so much and I can say for a fact that I wasn’t the only person who was sad to leave. Given the chance, I would definitely do it again.

My daughter attended the Land & Sea Camp on July 1-10, 2024. She had such an amazing time. The mixture of science, conservation, physical activity, and group dynamics were perfect for her.
