Sherman Oaks School of Dance and Music

At Sherman Oaks SDM we offer classes to students ranging from 18 months up through adults! We offer Parent & Me, Ballet/Tap Combo, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary styles. As all of our dance classes are curriculum based, our students are required to understand and demonstrate challenging movement in order to progress onto the next level.

Piano lessons are offered to students ages 4½ years to adult, ranging in ability level from beginners to advanced students. Our private piano lessons are one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour.Voice lessons are offered to students ages 4 ½ years to adult, ranging in ability level from beginners to advanced students. Our private voice lessons are one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour.Guitar lessons are offered to students ages 7 years to adult, ranging in ability level from beginners to advanced students. 7 years old is the earliest we recommend for guitar lessons. Guitar playing requires a fair amount of pressure on the fingertips from pressing on the strings. 

Violin lessons are offered to students ages 4½  years to adult, ranging in ability level from beginners to advanced students. Our private violin lessons are one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour. Musical instruments like the violin are exciting new things to explore.
