Overview
Students in this course will learn to create apps using open blocks with MIT’s App Inventor program while learning various computing concepts, in an easy-to-follow, drag-and-drop-objects environment. They will learn how to connect their programmed apps to Android mobile devices. Students will begin creating simple apps like “Finger Doodle,” then move onto more arcade style apps like “Mole Mash” and “Pong.” This is not a beginner course. Requires beginner programming experience.  Students will need a Gmail account for this course.

Stratford School has a balanced curriculum. The summer program as well is well planned with a balance of academics and extra curricular activities such as music, art. The kids are involved in hands on science experiments. They have field trips in the summer program too which is exciting for the kids. The kids are prepared for the next grade in advance.
