Overview

Do you want to make your own computer games guided by game and coding fanatics?

Join us this fall for an in-depth beginner’s guide to Scratch, the most popular for beginning coders.  Each class, we will focus on one key aspect of basic game design such as movement, projectiles, multi-level game design, and more. At the end of each day, your child will have a completed game that takes advantage of that day’s topic. The concepts we cover will allow them to develop a solid foundation in coding and game design to prepare them for their future.

Requirements:  Get a free online Scratch account online before camp.  PC or Mac Computer, or Chromebook.  No ipads, unless it has an attached keyboard.  A keyboard is needed for most of the games we make.

Our son had the best time! He was a little nervous when we dropped him off the first day but was so excited when we picked him up and looked forward to each day of the camp.

My son loved it, but it seems to be more loosely organized than I was expecting.

My 6yo had a great time at this camp. Would definitely consider doing it again.
