Overview

A crash course in theatrical fencing is a unique and engaging idea for a field trip. Training in theatrical fencing improves posture, balance, and isometric strength; all leading to a greater sense of poise and confidence. Give your students the gift of theatrical swordplay with an afternoon of fun and the opportunity to accomplish something completely new. (And they get to play with swords!)

My children take The Art of The Swashbuckler classes with Marc Antonio Pritchett and they absolutely love it! They audited their first class and were immediately hooked. They learned foot positioning, sword positioning and the terminology used. Lessons are demonstrated by Marc and then practiced by the students. There is never a dull moment. Now, my kids are choreographing a routine which includes sword fighting, tumbling, and other combat moves. They've even seen some of the moves they learned in some of the shows they've watched on TV. And to think they knew nothing of this the very first time they walked in.
Marc emphasizes safety for his students as well as technique. He is a sincerely a likable person.
My family highly recommends The Art of The Swashbuckler classes. You definitely will enjoy it!

Highly recommended! What a unique and wonderful class! I have all of my children taking this class and we couldn't be happier with it. As a parent I see my children in a very safe environment exercising while learning balance, coordination, discipline, and trust. Most of all, I see them excited and happy. I credit their teacher Marc Antonio Pritchett for that. His professionalism and charisma are the icing on the "I get to play with swords" cake.
