Our Staff

The Artsy Backyard was created in 2018 by Ronit Rozen as a way to blend two of her passions. Her love of teaching and her love of art. Ronit holds a Masters in Education and was a school teacher for over 25 years, working with elementary and middle school aged children. It wasn't until Ronit took a painting class for fun, where she realized that she was skilled in the art and also deeply enjoyed it. This led to years of attending art workshops and going back to school to study Graphic Design at Otis College of Art and Design.

Ronit and The Artsy Backyard are amazing!! My daughter just completed a weeklong art camp and brought home FANTASTIC art pieces. She was so inspired that she came home from art camp each day and chose to continue doing art for the rest of the afternoon. Ronit maintains a very clean and socially-distanced studio. Each child has their own 6’ table and supplies. They have their temperature taken and use hand sanitizer upon entering the studio. My daughter just loved the relaxed atmosphere, freedom to express herself through her artwork and the creative projects Ronit planned for the day. We will absolutely be coming back and I want to take classes as well!!
