The Avalon Academy

The Avalon Academy is a school dedicated to providing exceptional educational services to children with movement disorders such as cerebral palsy. In our highly-skilled and nurturing environment, we integrate academic and motor-skill development. Our individualized, interdisciplinary, and family-focused approach encompasses all areas of challenge for our students. This enables our children to fulfill their maximum personal potential, so that they thrive in both school and society.

At Avalon, we strive to be a second home for you and your child. We have adapted the environment of Avalon with our students and clients in mind, rather than expecting them to adapt to our environment. Avalon’s team is made up of phenomenal physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, special education teachers, orientation and mobility specialists, vision teachers, and a tireless team of instructional assistants who are in constant collaboration with one another. The team is committed to a standard of excellence that is founded in evidence based practice, compassion, and dignity for everyone that we serve.
