About
The Golden State Academy

The Golden State Academy is an after school program that coaches students in speech and debate. Being a competitive team, we regularly take students to local tournaments as well as a few tournaments across the nation. We offer classes and camps  suitable for new students who are unsure of their ambitions in competitive public speaking and debate.

Our Staff

We are comprised of award winning coaches from across the Bay Area. Many of the head coaches were the past coaches for both Olive Children Foundation as well as The Brooks Academy. All of our staff are also former competitors of the James Logan High School Speech and Debate program that was featured on both The Oprah Winfrey Show and the PBS documentary Accidental Hero: Room 408. Our instructors teach and have taught at various highly respected schools such as: The Harker School, Mission San Jose High School, Amador Valley High School, BASIS Independent Silicon Valley School, and Evergreen Valley High School. ​
