Campers will plant, harvest, cook, hike, discover, laugh and learn during our farm based camps. Through discovering the wonder of the natural world around us, campers build a deeper connection to nature, themselves and each other.
All of our camps take place at the San Mateo County School Farm in El Granada. Join The HEAL Project staff and Junior Leaders in a week of farming, crafting, cooking, and adventuring. Our camps explore the fields when they are most alive with summer crops, flowers, and imagination. All camps have an open house Friday afternoon where parents and families are invited onto the farm to see all their campers have done that week.
2018 Camp Themes
Farmer Science - Campers will turn into “mad” scientists over the course of the week! We will conduct experiments, learn about the natural forces around us, and investigate the secret lives of the plants and animals on the farm.
Nature Magic - Frolic in the garden for an entire enchanted week! Campers will explore garden creature folklore and the magic of plants through creative crafts and garden activities. Imaginations will soar and camp is sure to turn into a summer fairy tale.
