Keli Calderon (Owner, Teacher)I love kids and I love teaching.  I was a classroom teacher for nearly 20 years in Plano ISD (3-6th grades).  Much of my experience is in teaching English as a second a language. Because of this, I am skilled in making new concepts comprehensible and accessible even with little or no background knowledge. This easily applies to the financial world which seems to have a language of its own. My interest in finance started as a personal journey.  Due to lack of education, my husband and I made many financial mistakes and had to work hard to get back on course.  It became my mission to make sure that our 2 boys were well informed and did not follow the same path.  Eventually, this grew into a passion to educate other children and families as well.  This passion has lead me to becoming a Dave Ramsey trained financial coach and starting The Smart Money Academy."We rise by lifting others." ~ Robert Ingersoll
