Múa Dân Gian (Vietnamese traditional dancing) is a beautiful and diverse art that includes fan, hat, cup, ribbon dancing, etc. Whether you want your children to reconnect with their roots or want to learn more about the Vietnamese culture through dance, Viet Steps is here to teach you! 

Our Staff

Miss Quan Huynh, dance instructor and founder of Viet Steps, was born in Saigon, Vietnam where her Ballet, traditional, and Hip Hop training started at the age of fourat Thiên Nga Dance Group at the Children's House of HCMC.After moving to the U.S. as a teenager, she continued taking Ballet, Jazz, and technique classes at Kansas Dance Academy and was a Varsity Dancer throughout her high school years. She was named UDA All-American Dancer in 2012 and 2013.Currently, Miss Chiêu Quân is a student at UC Berkeley and a traditional dance choreographer for Cal Vietnamese Student Association's Culture Show.Having started traditional dancing at an early age, she is passionate to share her love for traditional dance to her little students!


Miss Truc Mai, dance instructor, also joined Thiên Nga Dance Group at the age of four.From 2000 to 2008, she was trained with different types of dance, including traditional dance, Ballet and modern Hip Hop. Starting in 2010, she took dance classes with the emphasis on Korean dance cover and traditional Vietnamese dance.Miss Thanh Trúc moved to Utah, USA in 2014. During her senior year of high school, she participated in the talent show with a performance combining Vietnamese, Korean and American popular music. In 2015, she became a member of De Anza Dancers and performed a two-night performance called Rebound, including a variety of dance styles, such as: jazz, choreography hip hop, contemporary, etc.Miss Thanh Trúc has always been passionate about dancing and performing. She cannot wait to give back to the community through teaching and inspiring young children who wish to explore themselves, their hidden talents, as well as their passion.
