About
WKC

Wiz Kid  is one of North America's leading Coding and STEM education companies focused exclusively on creating and delivering innovative coding and digital literacy programs for kids between the ages of 3 to 17. Our programs have won great reviews from parents, educators and, most importantly, many of the children who participate in our programs! We are proud to work with some of North America's largest school boards and to partner with some of the leading youth-focused organizations who have selected us to offer our coding programs to their children.

We offer a wide range of fun and engaging instructor-led coding programs, including group virtual coding classes, summer and holiday camps, lunchtime, after school programs and STEM workshops.

Since 2016, our team has taught thousands of children across Canada, the US and the Caribbean to code while helping them develop critical computer science and learning skills designed to give them an edge in succeeding in our growing digitized world.

Our Staff

We are incredibly proud of our Wiz Kid Coding instructors who are specifically selected for their ability not only to teach children key coding skills in a fun and engaging manner but also to inspire and encourage them to love the process of learning to code.

All of our instructors are carefully vetted (including Police and Background checks) and participate in our rigorous and ongoing training program. That is designed to ensure our instructors provide our young students with a coding experience that exceeds their (and their parent's) expectations.

This was the perfect introduction to building your own Roblox World. Our son was beyond excited to share his new world with the friends he plays with. The instructor was very patient and kind and SO knowledgeable.

I will preface this review by saying that we joined the class after the first class had already passed and maybe that first class was pivotal. That said, the site posted the class with the ability to still join, so it seems implied that it would not be an issue to miss the first session. My child was frustrated & disappointed after each class & we ended up not attending the last class because she was in tears after the second to last class. It was hard to get questions answered & the teacher seemed to focus on just a few kids. I could hear her asking her questions & not getting a response. Maybe it was the wrong teacher for her, but this was far from a positive experience.

My son really enjoyed the class. Please ensure the instructor starts the class on time - was consistently late.

Questions & Answers
My 10 year old daughter knows the basics of Scratch. Would this class be too easy for her? (Scratch Coding: Game Design Class) -
asked on Jul 19, 2020
Jul 20, 2020 - David Bolden
Hi! Thank you for your interest in our Scratch Program. At the beginning of the program, the instructor does go over some Scratch Basics to make sure everyone is on the same page. Then, throughout the week, students design more challenging projects and learn coding concepts such as variables, loops, etc. If she knows the basics of Scratch but doesn't use the platform regularly, I think this class will be a good fit for her. However, if she is an avid user who has learned how to create games on her own, I think she may be too advanced for this particularly Scratch class. I hope this answers your question! If not, please feel free to contact us at info@wizkidcoding.com and we will call you to have a more in-depth discussion. Thank you! -

Hi There! Thanks for your interest in our Minecraft Classes. There are up to 9 students in our Minecraft Classes. We do not allow participants to record the sessions in order to keep students' information private. However, if a child needs have a question for our instructors or needs extra help on a certain topic, we do provide 1:1 classes. Thank you and we hope to have your child join us for one of our Future Classes! :) -
Is this class good for beginner Minecraft players? My kids have not played Minecraft before. (Minecraft Coding & Design Class) -
asked on Jul 22, 2020
Jul 23, 2020 - David Bolden
Yes! This class is a great class for beginners too. The instructor makes sure to give students projects that align with their Minecraft skill level as well as teach student how to do more complex commands and projects in minecraft. Our instructors always go over the basics at the start of the first day of classes so all students are on the same page. For our Minecraft Explorer classes, they need to have Minecraft Java Edition. For our Minecraft Coding Classes, they will need Minecraft Windows 10 Edition. Thank you for your question and feel free to email us if you have any more questions at info@wizkidcoding.com. Have a great day! -
