Build a Summer Startup to Learn!

K-12 Maker, Coder, Entrepreneur Summer Camps held at multiple locations

Weeklong day camps with AM, Full-day and Extended day options.

Camps are age appropriate and students will be grouped in the appropriate age group. Advanced students have access to the enhanced lesson plan. All camps include outdoor play, leadership lessons, team presentations, skits, maker and art projects.

Team pitches are videotaped and entered into Startup Wonder Contest to win prizes, awards or Seed money.

Camps are for grades 3-8, but few Leader-in-Training spots are available for grades 9-11 to learn and assist teachers in class.

Teen Startup is for grades 9-12 and includes industry speakers who conduct workshops with teens and help them with their startup idea or college major decision.

Our Staff

Startup Wonder staff are a combination of fun younger counselors, experienced teachers, academics and entrepreneurs.  We regularly have scientists and professionals teaching some camp sessions and camps provide speakers who share their experience, conduct a workshop for our campers to give them a taste of real life projects. 

Honors & Awards

We conduct a pitch contest at the end of each camp session. The season winners receive a seed funding of at least $100/person.

The camp was broken into two parts; the first half was coding (daughter was completed lost and didn’t “get it”). The second half was a business /marketing camp which she really enjoyed. Camp idea is great, stressful for kids who are entering into coding. Would say coding part is NOT for beginners.

Thank you for feedback! We have investigated this issue and it turns out some of the teachers tried to finish all the modules (including advanced). We are changing our training and organization of class so teachers know to go slower and cover less material. The rest is online for campers who may want to go further!
