Step into the world of competitive robotics with VEX V5RC! Students in grades 6–12 will design, build, and code advanced robots to take on the Push Back challenge using VEX V5 technology. This program offers real-world experience in engineering, programming, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Teams collaborate to design durable robots, write autonomous and driver-controlled code, document their work in engineering notebooks, and prepare for regional competitions with an opportunity to advance to the state championship. Throughout the season, students develop persistence, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Because this is a team-based competition program, students should be genuinely interested and motivated to participate. Success in V5RC depends on consistent effort, active contribution, and a willingness to learn — not just showing up.
The program is open to students in grades 6–12. If we have enough interested students (at least four per team), we will form separate middle school (grades 6–8) and high school (grades 9–12) teams. Otherwise, a combined team will compete in the division of the oldest team member.
