Chess Masters at Ladera Sports Center – All Levels
Join Chess Master Andres and watch your student become a chess player!
From beginner to competition ready, this chess class is perfect for students of all ages and skill levels. In class students will review the basic rules of chess before diving into opening theory, tactics, and strategy in an easy to understand format. By playing against other students, students will hone their skills and get experience playing REAL people, NOT computers! Each class includes instruction and match play. Advanced students will learn how to improve their board vision and make a plan that will result in checkmate.
COVID-19 Regulations:
Students will be asked to follow all of the protocols put in place by the Ladera Sports Complex to ensure the safety of everyone participating. For full details on how LSC is making it safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic please visit their website. Students will receive a sanitized set of chess pieces to use for the duration of the class. Partner rotation may be limited. Space is limited.
