ROCKS & DINOSAURS CAMP
Monday-Friday, June 2-6
8:30am-4:30pm (extended hours 8:30am-5:30pm available)
Ages 6-11

This week, young campers investigate characteristics of rocks and gemstones, learn about crystallization as they create their own “geodes,” break a real geode to take home, study dinosaurs and fossils, and dig like a paleontologist as they search for prehistoric life forms.

Older campers explore rocks, gems and fossils, make crystals and fossil replicas, break open geodes to take home, study dinosaur biology and adaptations and conduct, document and map a paleontological dig outside.

Campers should bring two snacks, lunch and a water bottle each day, and wear close-toed shoes.

Would recommend! Lots of activities and learning packed into 5 days! My son especially enjoyed geode smashing and building a dinosaur habitat.

Hi Deborah, Thanks for your message. It depends on which program you are inquiring about. Our Young Explorers classes (3-5 year olds) require parent participation during class. Parents sometimes stay for the first week of homeschool classes, and during Girl Scout workshops as well. Parents do not stay for after-school programs, Parents' Night Out or our camps. Hopefully, I covered the program you are interested in. If not, please let me know so I can clarify. Thanks for your interest, Tonya -
