This class is open to students entering 3rd-6th grades in Fall 2021.
Minecraft Education is one of the most engaging game-based coding platform, it promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive digital environment.
In this class, students will learn coding concepts like control logic, build structures, code debugging, loops, events, game design etc. They will work on projects with teams, as well as individually. They will also learn Redstone circuitry in Minecraft, which provides an interactive environment to build basic logic & circuits and then combine them for more sophisticated purposes in the projects.
Minecraft offers an engaging platform for computer science education, with features designed to help students learn to code, and apply coding across STEM subjects.
Live teacher-led online camps
Students will join the camp from their home
Students will need - a Computer (Windows or Apple Mac), Headphones (highly recommended but optional), Internet connection, and a Browser to join the camp from home
Login information will be emailed no later than 2 days prior to the start of class
KC Summer Special! Participants in this class will receive a free 1-month trial of a Minecraft license to use after class
