About
Paths & Pages

We offer Summer Camps (grade K-8), Girls of Gaia (All girls group), Wander Writers (monthly writing workshops, Overnight Camps, After School Adventures. In all our programs we focus on mindfulness and free-play.

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us. Mindfulness unleashes a child's natural curiosity, allowing them to approach experiences with warmth and kindness: towards themselves and others. Free-Play is any unstructured, voluntary, child-initiated activity.  Free-Play encourages kids to use their imaginations, allowing them to be creative, direct their own learning, and develop their independence.

Our Staff
Ashley Aurilio-Founder and Owner

Growing up in Buffalo, N.Y. in the early 90's, I didn't have a cell phone, an iPad, or social media. I had my friends and family, my imagination, and a vast neighborhood to explore. My most formidable experiences didn't happen online, at school, at home, or at a scheduled activity. My real growth took place when I was at play: finally free to figure out who I wanted to be in the world and how to best express myself.
I've worked with with kids of all ages for more than two decades. Using patience, understanding, playfulness, and authentic connection, my specialty is taking the time to fully understand a child's unique point-of-view and special gifts. I show them how to hone these gifts through mindfulness practices, reflective writing, creative expression, meaningful discussion, and most of all, I give them the space and freedom to shine!
