School is back in session, but hybrid and virtual days have many families scrambling for activities to fill unexpected gaps in daily learning. ActivityHero had already successfully adapted its business in March as COVID-19 shut down in-person camps to offer live online classes for children at home.
Now with families seeking more flexible solutions for enrichment activities, ActivityHero is once again expanding the platform to launch On-Demand content for kids.
“This summer, over 35,000 children attended an online class or camp through one of ActivityHero’s hundreds of activity partners,” said CEO and Co-Founder Peggy Chang. “But when school started back, we recognized the need to develop an on-demand platform that offers high-quality content to kids anytime, anywhere.”
ActivityHero On-Demand launches November 10th with pre-recorded videos and printable activities for children, ranging in price from free to $15. A wide variety of topics is available for instant access from quality educators, including Stanford Libraries, Little Medical School, Young Rembrandts, and Engineering for Kids.

Organizations and teachers are able to add their content to ActivityHero On-Demand and earn money from purchases. ActivityHero reviews all content to ensure it is appropriate for children.
ActivityHero recognizes that supporting children’s education and enrichment isn’t a one size fits all solution.
“If your child prefers the interaction and socialization of live classes, our platform offers over 1,500 live online classes in art, music, mindfulness, LEGO®, academic support, and more. In-person camps, after school activities, and learning pods are also available in select locations when they follow safety protocols,” said Chang.
